What is Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project®?

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world – only nine percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.¹

Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers.  A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy, and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is.  We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation.

To counter this downward slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family has launched one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of our ministry – Focus on the Family's The Truth Project®.

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, President of the Focus on the Family Institute and a Senior Vice President of our ministry.  This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective.  Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.

We believe this curriculum can be a catalyst for exponential change within the body of Christ, as thousands of people are “transformed by the renewing of [their] mind” (Romans 12:2).  As He has throughout history, God continues to call ordinary people to make an eternal difference in our world.

What is the cost to attend the simulcast?

Super-Early Bird – through June 30:   $  99 individual / $149 couple
Early Bird – through August 15:         $109 individual / $149 couple
Regular – after August 15/walkup       $119 individual / $149 couple

Can I register on-site at one of the host locations on September 27th?

Limited walkup registration will be available at each host site the day of the event – however, we can only guarantee a sufficient supply of Truth Project DVD sets to distribute that day for those who have pre-registered.  Walkup registrants may have to wait a couple of weeks after the event for access to the Truth Project Small Group Support site and to receive their DVD sets by mail.

What will I receive at/from the simulcast?

This satellite broadcast is intended to train facilitators to lead small groups through The Truth Project; registration includes a full set of DVDs for the curriculum.  Attendees will see a live presentation by Dr. Del Tackett of some of the highlights from the series (which will account for about 60% of the agenda), and a thorough briefing on the overall strategy and vision for The Truth Project (the remaining 40% of the gathering).  They will also be set up for subsequent online access to our Small Group Support site.

How do I pre-register to attend the simulcast?

There are two options for pre-registration:
1. Register online to attend the simulcast at the location of your choosing (online registration will be cut off approximately two weeks before the simulcast).
2. Register in person at one of the host churches (the online registration page for each site includes a link to that congregation’s Web site or contact information).
